Aquatect Gel, a moisturizing gel,

combines the functions of the following into one product:
●Toner
●Emulsion (moisturizing lotion)
●Cream
●Serum
●Body cream
●Face mask
●Makeup base

In the first place, the purpose of basic skincare products is "moisturizing". If proper moisturization can be achieved, there is no need to use multiple skincare products. In fact, using more products may sometimes cause irritation to the skin.

With just one product, Aquatect Gel provides effective moisturization that keeps the skin hydrated for a long time.

As explained later, it has achieved higher moisturizing effectiveness compared to using multiple skincare products. It truly represents skincare that values quality over quantity.

Ideally, if cleansing and moisturizing could be done at the same time, all skincare could be completed in one step. This would further reduce irritation to the skin.

However, cleansing and moisturizing serve different purposes, so they cannot be combined into one product.

Cleansing is meant to remove impurities. Moisturizing is meant to remain on the skin and keep it hydrated.

Something that removes substances from the skin and something that needs to remain on the skin cannot coexist.

In this sense, the Axilio series can be considered a skincare line that minimizes the number of products used.

At the same time, it is a skincare series designed to reduce irritation to the skin caused by product application as much as possible.

STORY02
02
Many people with sensitive skin also have dry skin.
This is because when the skin becomes dry, its barrier function weakens, making it more sensitive to external irritation.

Therefore, in order to restore naturally healthy skin, it is necessary to improve dry skin.
The best way to improve dry skin is through proper moisturization.

Many basic skincare products claim to provide moisturizing effects.
However, there are many people whose dry skin does not improve even though they use basic skincare products.

Strange, isn’t it?
Why does this happen?

There is only one answer.
It is because even though they are using skincare products, they are not actually moisturizing their skin.

In other words, they are using skincare products that cannot effectively moisturize.
Many skincare products that fail to moisturize simply contain moisturizing ingredients.
If simply adding moisturizing ingredients could hydrate the skin, it would be incredibly easy.

To achieve effective moisturization, there is something even more important than moisturizing ingredients.

3 Key Points That Are More Important Than Moisturizing Ingredients for Effective Hydration

There are 3 important key points for effective moisturization.

1
Replenishing both moisture and oil in the skin
2
Maintaining the proper balance of moisture and oil being replenished
3
Replenishing moisture and oil at the same time

I will explain each one individually.

1.Replenishing moisture and oil

When people think of moisturization, some believe it means replenishing the skin with only moisture, such as with toners or lotions.
Others believe it means replenishing the skin with only oil, such as with emulsions or moisturizing creams.

Both of these are incorrect.
Moisturization is not achieved by supplying "only moisture" or "only oil" to the skin.
Proper moisturization means replenishing both moisture and oil in the skin.

2.Maintaining the right balance of moisture and oil is essential.

Even if both moisture and oil are supplied, it cannot be considered proper moisturization if the balance is not appropriate.
Too much moisture or too much oil—neither of these conditions means the skin is properly moisturized.

Only when the skin is supplied with the appropriate amounts of moisture and oil in a well-balanced ratio can it truly be said that "the skin is properly moisturized."

3.Let’s replenish moisture and oil at the same time.

When replenishing moisture and oil, many people supply them separately.

Moisture replenishment Toner and Lotion
oil replenishment. Milk Lotion and Cream

At first glance, it may seem that both moisture and oil are being replenished. However, this method essentially involves mixing moisture and oil on the surface of the face.

No matter how skillful our fingers may be, is it really possible to mix moisture and oil evenly and in proper balance on the face?
Unfortunately, it is not.

As a result, some areas may contain more moisture while others contain more oil, leading to an imbalanced skin condition.

In this way, since it is extremely difficult to evenly mix and apply moisture and oil on the face, replenishing them with separate products can interfere with effective moisturization.

To moisturize effectively, it is better to have moisture and oil balanced together in the product from the beginning.

Aquatect Gel provides moisture and oil in this optimal balance, along with moisturizing ingredients that help maintain them, all at the same time.
This is the main reason why Aquatect Gel can deliver effective moisturization with just one product.

STORY03
02
Three Key Points for Effective Moisturizing
1
Replenish moisture and oil in the skin
2
Maintain a balance between them
3
Replenish both at the same time
I created a moisturizing cosmetic called “Aquatect Gel” that fulfills all of these conditions.
The ratio is 80% water and 20% oil. This ratio was developed after testing various combinations on dry skin, and coincidentally matches the moisture level of a baby’s skin.
STORY04
04
Because it delivers effective hydration in just one step, your skincare routine becomes dramatically shorter.

Simply spread an appropriate amount over your face—and you’re done.
It takes only 15 seconds.

Unlike a toner, it doesn’t drip and stays on the skin, so there’s no need for patting or massaging. Just smooth it over your skin, and it absorbs effortlessly.

Fifteen seconds for skincare on busy mornings.
Fifteen seconds for skincare at night when you come home tired.

Use the time you save for your makeup, your meals, your work, or relaxing moments with your family.

STORY05
05
Aquatect Gel has another feature that supports truly effective hydration.

It can be layered anytime, as many times as needed.

Skin moisture naturally decreases over time.
Water evaporates due to body temperature and changes in the surrounding environment.
This is especially true for dry or sensitive skin, which has a weaker ability to retain moisture.

The most reliable way to keep your skin hydrated is to replenish lost moisture whenever necessary.

However, this is not as simple as it sounds.

Toners are made up of more than 90% water, which can easily evaporate after application.

Creams and oils, on the other hand, do not provide moisture to the skin in the first place.

On the other hand, Aquatect Gel is different because it delivers both water and oil at the same time.

If you ever feel that your skin needs more hydration during your morning or evening routine, simply apply another layer to provide exactly the amount of moisture your skin requires.

If you start to feel dryness during the day, you can reapply Aquatect Gel as needed.
It replenishes lost moisture while its balanced oil content helps lock that moisture in place.
You can even apply it easily over makeup.

This convenience is especially appreciated by women who are often out during the day for work or household responsibilities.

The longer your skin stays properly hydrated, the more dry and sensitive skin can develop into healthy, resilient skin.

STORY06
06
In pursuing the ultimate moisturizing effect, Aquatect Gel naturally took on a gel form.

Its unique smooth, cushiony texture glides effortlessly over the skin, minimizing friction during application.

As a result, it gently hydrates even sensitive skin that has become reactive to irritation, as well as dry, rough skin that feels damaged and fragile.

STORY07
07
Aquatect Gel serves as a toner, emulsion, serum, and cream—all in one—while delivering the following benefits through its moisturizing effects:
●Helps prevent skin irritation
●Increases skin moisture levels
●Improves the appearance of fine lines caused by dryness

These effects have been confirmed through efficacy testing conducted by an independent third-party institution.

For this reason, Aquatect Gel can be used to improve fine dry lines that commonly appear around the eyes and mouth, as well as various skin concerns caused by a lack of hydration.

Below are the details of the test results.

What's "Efficacy Evaluation Tested"?

It means that an evaluation test based on the “Guidelines for Cosmetic Function Evaluation Methods” was conducted at a specialized third-party institution, and the product’s effects were confirmed.

In the cosmetics industry, this is commonly referred to as an “anti-wrinkle evaluation test.”

If a product demonstrates effectiveness in this test, it can be labeled as “reduces the appearance of fine lines caused by dryness,” and it is also allowed to include the statement “Efficacy Tested.”

In "an efficacy evaluation test", …

In the test, the product is applied to the skin, and changes in wrinkle grade are measured.
The wrinkle grade refers to a scale used to classify the severity of wrinkles.

Method of measuring wrinkles

As a measurement method, changes in wrinkle grade—the evaluation criteria for wrinkles included in the guidelines—are assessed using one of the following:
1) Visual assessment
2) Comparative photographic assessment
3) Instrumental measurement

Evaluation is based on whether the wrinkle grade has decreased.

A decrease in wrinkle grade means that the severity of wrinkles has improved.

Only when wrinkles graded 1–3 are confirmed to have improved to a higher grade can the product be labeled as “Efficacy Tested Formula for Care of Fine Dry Lines.”

The Study Was to Be Discontinued in the Following Cases

●If the product was not used as instructed
●If continued use became impossible due to illness, injury, etc.
●If adverse events or subjective/objective symptoms occurred and the study physician decided to discontinue the test
●If the participant requested to stop using the product

※As a result, 17 participants completed the test without experiencing any abnormalities.

Changes in Wrinkle Grade with Aquatect Gel

Visual assessment showed a significantly lower position (reduction in wrinkle grade) after 4 weeks compared to the untreated area.

Photographic assessment also showed a significantly lower position (reduction in wrinkle grade) after 4 weeks compared to the untreated area.

Instrumental measurements of skin moisture levels showed a significant increase (improved moisture content) after 4 weeks compared to the untreated area.

Based on these results, it was determined that Aquatect Gel is effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines caused by dryness.

Additionally, since continuous use increased skin moisture levels, it was also determined that Aquatect Gel is effective in supporting the skin’s moisture retention function.

We requested a third-party testing organization to verify the safety of Aquatect Gel.

Here are the results.

We hope this information helps you evaluate Aquatect Gel from an objective perspective.

1. Stinging Test

Stinging irritation refers to temporary sensory discomfort such as stinging, itching, or heat sensation that occurs when cosmetics or cosmetic ingredients are applied to the face.

Test Details

Test Date: June 21, 2019
Number of Participants: 12 people (2 males and 10 females, aged 34–59)
Testing Organization: DRC Co., Ltd.

The participants were selected based on the following criteria.

1
Men and women aged between 20 and 60
2
Individuals who do not feel irritation from distilled water but experience tingling or stinging sensations from test solutions
3
Individuals who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study
Individuals who met any of the following conditions were excluded from the study.
1
Had skin conditions on the evaluation area that could affect test results (such as atopic dermatitis, urticaria, inflammation, eczema, wounds, acne, pimples, or warts)
2
Had a risk of developing allergic reactions to cosmetics (including those who experienced cosmetic-related skin irritation within the past year)
3
Were pregnant or breastfeeding at the time of consent
4
Were deemed unsuitable for participation by the test supervisor

Evaluation Method

The following materials were prepared and compared during the test:
1) Distilled water
2) Test product: Aquatect Gel
【Procedure】
1
An appropriate amount of the test product was applied to cotton pads.
The cotton pads were placed near both cheekbones and left for 60 seconds.
2
Participants scored the level of irritation they felt between 31 and 60 seconds after application.
3
After 60 seconds, the cotton pads were removed. The area was wiped with cotton soaked in distilled water, and excess moisture was gently pressed off with a paper towel. Participants then rested for 120 seconds.
4
The above procedure was repeated.
ven individuals with extremely sensitive skin—who may feel irritation from products generally considered low-iritation—were asked to evaluate how they felt when using Aquatect Gel, based on the scoring scale below.

Stinging Sensation Score
  • 【1】 No sensation at all
  • 【2】 Slightly feel something that may be a stimulus
  • 【3】 Clearly feel a stimulus
  • 【4】 Feel a strong stimulus
  • 【5】 Feel an unbearable level of stimulus

Result

Based on the average evaluation score from the 12 participants, "Aquatect Gel was classified as a low-irritation cosmetic product."
Average Score for Aquatect Gel [2.4]
An average score around 2 generally indicates sensations described as “slightly uncomfortable” or “possibly just imagination,” and is typically judged as no significant irritation detected.

While it does not guarantee that every individual will experience no irritation, Aquatect Gel was tested by participants with highly sensitive skin and passed the evaluation, indicating that it can be considered low irritation.

2. Patch Test(24-Hour Closed Patch Test)

A test used to evaluate the irritancy of a cosmetic product by applying it to the skin and measuring the level of irritation compared to water (set as 0).

Patch Test

The test product was applied to a 2 cm × 2 cm piece of cotton and secured with occlusive tape.
To ensure accurate placement of subsequently applied patches, small dot marks were made with crystal violet on the top and bottom edges of the strip disc.
Each subject was instructed to keep the marked areas dry and avoid wetting them during bathing.

Patches containing 0.2 mL/0.2 g of the test product or control product were randomly assigned.
The assignments for each subject were recorded on color-coded identification cards, and the records were maintained throughout the study.

Patches were applied to the upper back and shoulder blade areas on Days 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, and 26.
Subjects were instructed to keep the patch in place for 48 hours, or for 72 hours over the weekend, maintaining dryness at the application site. Patches were removed at the test facility on Days 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, and 29.

Evaluation of Test Sites

Skin Irritation

At the time of patch removal on Days 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, and 29, skin irritation assessments were conducted.
If irritation was observed at the test site, the area was scored using the NACDG (North American Contact Dermatitis Group) Skin Irritation Criteria.
0 No reaction: Normal-appearing skin
0.5 + Macular erythema: Very mild
1 + Indurated erythema: Mild
2 + Erythema, inflammation, small vesicles: Moderate
3 + Vesicles or ulceration: Severe

Follicular Biopsy Examination

Immediately after patch removal on Day 29, samples were collected from the test sites.
Each site was cleansed and dried. A drop of cyanoacrylate adhesive was applied to a coded microscope slide, lightly pressed onto the test site, and removed after one minute to collect the stratum corneum over the hair follicles.

A technician examined the processed samples under a microscope and scored them by comparison with the negative control group using the scoring system described below.
The mean score was calculated for each test substance and control.

0 No microcomedones (same as negative control)
0.5 Minimal: Microkeratin formation in 25% of the target area
1 Mild: Microcomedones in approximately 50% of the hair follicles
2 Moderate: Medium-sized microcomedones occupying most (≈75%) of the target area
3 Severe: Large, globular microcomedones occupying the entire area

Study Period

Conducted from June 3, 2019, to July 1, 2019.

Subjects

A total of 17 subjects (male and female) participated, and 16 subjects completed the study.

Evaluation

Follicular Biopsy & Statistical Analysis

Negative Control Positive Control
Aquatect Gel P > 0.05 0.00
P < 0.05 indicates a statistically significant difference between the test product and the control group.

Conclusion

Comparison with follicular biopsy scoring in the positive control group clearly demonstrated that the test product is non-comedogenic (does not cause comedones).

Thus, Aquatect Gel was clinically confirmed to be non-comedogenic.

Dry, sensitive skin is often more prone to acne.

Aquatect Gel not only does not promote acne formation, but also hydrates the skin gently without irritation, helping maintain skin that is less likely to develop acne in the first place.

If you are concerned about acne, the results of this non-comedogenic test can be used as a reliable reference.

STORY10

Aquatect Gel is specialized for moisturization, but as the saying goes, “When you gain something, you must give something up.”
To achieve a high level of moisturization, we chose to sacrifice texture and sensory feel.

Normally, when cosmetics are developed, manufacturers focus not only on skincare benefits such as moisturization, but also on texture, appearance (color), and fragrance.
In recent years, this tendency has become even stronger.

For example:
●Body soaps that create the sensation of deeply moisturized skin after use
●Cooling sensations after application (such as cold creams)
●Warming sensations after application (such as hot cleansing products)

These effects are created through specific cosmetic ingredients and manufacturing methods, making the skin feel moist, cool, or warm.
However, in reality, even if you use a body soap that feels moisturizing, it does not necessarily mean the skin is actually hydrated.
Often, it simply means surfactants remain on the skin, creating a slippery feeling rather than true moisturization.

Similarly, cooling or warming sensations do not actually change the temperature of the skin’s surface.
They only create the sensation of being cool or warm.
Of course, these sensations do not provide real skincare benefits.
From a cosmetic developer’s perspective, they only increase formulation instability without offering advantages for improving the skin.

However, even without real skincare benefits, sensory experiences can create a powerful perceived effect, making people feel that the product is beneficial.

When the skin feels slippery due to surfactants, people may believe their skin is moisturized.
When a cold cream feels cooling, it may seem like pores are tightening.
When a hot cleansing product feels warm, it may seem like heat is removing sebum and clogged pores.

In reality, there is often a significant gap between actual effects and perceived sensations.

One reason this gap exists is due to cosmetic regulations.

Under pharmaceutical and cosmetic regulations, advertising expressions are heavily restricted.
For example, claims such as “removes dark spots,” “eliminates wrinkles,” or “cures acne” are generally prohibited.

Therefore, even if sensory effects have little meaning, encouraging users to associate special textures or sensations with skincare benefits can greatly contribute to sales.
From a business standpoint, this can be considered a reasonable approach.

If I had not known that “pleasant texture and skincare effectiveness are not necessarily related,” I might have happily used such products myself.
There is even a saying that sometimes it is better not to know certain truths.

But for me, it is already too late.
Through the process of researching and developing cosmetics, I learned the truth.

As both a cosmetic developer and someone who personally struggles with dry and sensitive skin, I cannot accept misleading approaches like this.

For this reason, Aquatect Gel does not contain ingredients such as alcohol that are often used to improve texture and sensory feel. It is also free from fragrances and colorants.

Customer Reviews

In my 50s, I struggled with severe dryness. Even after applying rich creams and oils, my skin would become rough and flaky.

When I first tried it, I honestly thought, “I hope this helps somehow…”

But now —
I’m happily getting by with just one bottle of Aqua Tect Gel!

If my skin feels a little tight, I simply apply a small additional amount — and that’s all I need.

I’m truly grateful for this wonderful discovery.

I’m looking forward to seeing how my skin continues to improve.

Although it’s only been about two weeks since I started using it, I can already feel my skin changing — and I’m truly impressed.

The shine on my T-zone has almost completely disappeared, and the small white bumps that had bothered me since my 20s have started to fade. My skin feels much smoother now!

I also feel that my dark spots have begun to lighten.

Acqucrio products are very easy to use and feel wonderful on the skin — I’m honestly amazed.

I definitely plan to keep using them.

I was worried about rough, dry hands and was searching for a cream that would actually work when I discovered Aquatect Gel.

I was amazed at how my hands immediately felt plump and soft right after applying it.

I don’t think I can ever go back to other hand creams!!

It even works wonderfully on my boyfriend’s hands, which tend to get rough from working outdoors — they feel unbelievably smooth, hardly like a man’s hands.

Once I finish my current skincare products, I’d love to start using it generously on my face as well and aim for soft, supple skin.

Please continue providing such wonderful products consistently.

First, try 1week!

Experience the gentle hydration your sensitive skin deserves – with just one bottle of "AQUCRIO Aquatect Gel."
